A global company entering Egypt or MENA
Cultural intelligence / Egypt · Saudi · MENA
Translation moves words. Context changes decisions.
MENA is not one audience, and Arabic is not one uniform experience. Language, dialect, trust, institutions, class, devices, payment behavior and everyday habits can all change whether a product or message makes sense.
Discuss a market or experience ↗01 / Culture changes strategy
Culture changes strategy
It changes what creates trust, how authority is perceived, how direct a message should be, how humor works, how public and private identities differ, how English and Arabic are mixed, and how family, status, religion, institutions and aspiration influence behavior. Those factors vary enormously across the region.
02 / What I bring
I am Egyptian, trained in sociology and media, and have spent my professional life working with digital audiences, products, content and organizations across MENA. My professional record includes MENA consumer behavior and Saudi corporate culture alongside regional product, client and content experience. I combine that context with digital analysis.
03 / Where context becomes useful
Where context becomes useful
A product expanding into Arabic
An AI experience technically correct but humanly wrong
A brand trying to understand cultural signals rather than translate campaigns
A regional organization facing different market expectations
A research or innovation team needing context around technology adoption
04 / Possible engagements
Possible engagements
- Audience and market assumption audit
- Arabic terminology and experience review
- Country and segment differences
- Trust, authority and adoption signals
- Product and content localization decisions
- Regional research and stakeholder interviews
- Context brief for product, communication or market entry
05 / Evidence
Bteekh brought together product, audience and regional behavior experience. The professional record also includes regional clients across media, institutions and business. This is practical context for the work, not a claim that every engagement was a cultural-intelligence project.
06 / Questions before we start
Questions before we start
Is MENA one market?
No. It is countries, cities, classes, generations, dialects, histories, institutions and platform cultures with meaningful differences.
Is translation enough for a product?
No. A product can be beautifully localized yet behaviorally irrelevant or unable to build trust in its local context.
Do you conduct quantitative market research?
I provide research framing and audience, behavioral and cultural analysis, and can bring in appropriate research partners when needed.
How is Egypt different from the Gulf?
Markets differ in institutions, behavior, trust, language and decision-making. I do not treat MENA as one generic answer.
When is this useful?
For market entry, product or AI localization, message review, or teams that need a more grounded understanding of context.
